No, but there was one public urinator, and for upscale Portland, that was trouble. It was under control by the time we arrived in the patrol car. The officer mostly assisted people, answered questions, and kept an unbelievably close eye on her beat.

What's up with the chocolate lab on the cover of Lost & Found when the story is about a black lab?? I'm a lab person and love them all but seriously...?

This is a great comment! I get asked this all the time. The actual dog, Max, is a real honest to goodness black lab. However, black animals are very hard to photograph. To make Max, aka Cooper the dog on my book cover, look good in print they lighten the photo and that lightening makes him look like a chocolate lab.
